One of the most beloved beaches in Baltimore County, Rocky Point is a gorgeous 300-foot shoreline of soft sand along the upper Chesapeake Bay. Set in a 375-acre park, the beach offers breathtaking views of the bay, Hart-Miller Islands and Craighill Light, as well as an abundance of majestic wildlife. Eighteen picnic areas ensure everyone has a spot to snack, while a volleyball court, sailing center, fishing pier, boat ramps and playgrounds provide endless entertainment.
The park is open year round for fishing, boating and picnicking from sunrise to sunset.
Swimming is allowed at the beach, Memorial Day through Labor Day, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., when lifeguards are on duty.
Restrooms are unlocked during beach season when staff are on duty

Swimming is allowed off the guarded beach Memorial Day through Labor Day, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. During the "Beach" season, the main park is open from dawn to 7 p.m. Note that during the early and late beach season on those days when Baltimore County Schools are in session, the beach will be closed for swimming.
