Pine Grove Furnace State Park is located in central Pennsylvania at the northern tip of the Blue Ridge Mountains, in an area known as South Mountain.

There are many recreational activities available at the park from swimming in the mountain lakes, to hiking and biking on the trails. Pine Grove Furnace marks the halfway point of the over 2000 mile Appalachian National Scenic Trail.

View the park from up on the mountains by taking a trail up to Pole Steeple Vista and view the eastern part of the park and surrounding Michaux State Forest from the overlook.
