Oquaga Creek State Park is located just 3 hours outside of New York City and New Jersey, making it a great outdoor escape.
Popular summer activities at the park include swimming in the 55-acre Arctic Lake with a large sand beach, fishing, and hiking. Winter brings great hills for sledding, a frozen lake for ice fishing, and snowcovered trails for snowshoers and cross-country skiing.
There are many campsites available with reservations, with one full service cabin.
The northern location of Oquaga Creek State Park means that it recieves many inches or feet of snow at once. Unlike many parks, Oquaga Creek transforms into a winter wonderland to offer a variety of winter activities!
(Note: Many places fill to capacity on busy, nice weather days, especially holiday weekends. Please call ahead or visit the official website to get the most up-to-date information before visiting.)
