Glimmerglass State Park

Glimmerglass State Park, located just eight miles outside of Cooperstown, New York overlooks beautiful Otsego Lake.

The park features wooded terrain and rolling hills with trails running thourghout with a wide variety of wildlife calling it home. The Beaver Pond and Woodland trails are picturesque and the place to look for a variety of wildflowers, shrubs, ferns and mosses.

Winter visitors can go tubing, cross-country skiing, ice skating, showshoeing, snowmobiling, ice fishing, winter hiking.

Park Office Hours:

  • Vary throughout season. Call park for details.
  • In season:  Late May - Labor Day. 
    • Friday - Saturday, 8 a.m. - 9:30 p.m.
    • Sunday - Thursday, 8 a.m. - 9 p.m.
  • Off season:
    • Monday - Friday, 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Vehicle Entrance Fee

  • Cars (Memorial Day to Labor Day):  $7
  • Non-Commercial Bus Fee: $35
  • Commercial Bus Fee: $75
  • Seasonal Bus Permit: $75

  • Primitive Camping:

  • Tents (3) (capacity 40 each):  $60 ea.
  • West Shelter (capacity 100-200):
    • Weekdays:  $75 / $125
    • Weekends/Holidays:  $100 / $150
