Franklin Point State Park is a beautiful 477 acre peninsula nestled among the Chesapeake Bay, Deep Creek and Flag Pond, in scenic southern Anne Arundel County. The Maryland Park Service has partnered with community members represented by the West/Rhode Riverkeeper staff to improve access to this natural waterfront property.
Franklin Point features a variety of marsh, forest and field areas, with sand shoreline overlooking the Chesapeake Bay. Passive enjoyment, including wildlife viewing and hiking, are ideal activities at this site. At this time parking is limited and restricted to the lot off Dent Road.
Sunrise to Sunset. No camping, campfires or after hours activities are permitted.
Franklin Point State Park is a gated park with a combination lock. Access to the park is limited due to site conditions and capacity. Park only in the designated parking area to the left beyond the gate. The Maryland Park Service reserves the right to close the park or restrict access for operational, maintenance or safety reasons.
Enter and submit your name and e-mail address to receive the current combination lock numbers. The gate must be secured immediately upon entering the park and when leaving.
