Bowman Lake State Park is a 966 acre secluded forest and retreat known as "a camper's paradise."
The road that winds into the park is lined with evergreens and hardwood trees. There is a sandy lakefront area for swimmers and sunbathers, with a nearby picnic area. The lake generally is stocked with trout and around 100 species of birds can be spotted around the park.
In winter, Bowman Lake State Park can still be enjoyed by snowmobilers and cross-country skiers with 13 miles of trails to explore.
