Wild Tour of Chesterfield County

Hike (with some bushwhacking) and explore some of our newest parks, some of which are open and some still closed to the public.

Overview:

Explore four sites along the James River. First, travel to the Brown and Williamson Conservation Area to bushwhack almost a mile of bluff overlooking the James River. Next, head to a secluded tract in River’s Bend and the historic Dantzler Battery. Finally, head north to the new James River Conservation Area. Begins at Henricus Park Visitor Center. $15. Reserve by Jan. 11.
