The Susquehanna’s Native Landscape

Overview:

National Park Service cultural anthropologist Cindy Chance will provide insight into how Susquehanna Riverlands can help in our understanding of the Native Americans who made this area their home.

Residents and visitors alike are enthralled with the unspoiled landscape of the lower Susquehanna River. Standing at one of its overlooks, one can easily imagine a time when it was the heartland of the Susquehannock people. National Park Service cultural anthropologist Cindy Chance will provide insight into why the NPS considers the Susquehanna Riverlands a landscape that can help in our understanding of the Native Americans who made this area their home.
