Learn how to use a compass and topographical map and take off on an adventure around the park! Originally a training exercise in land navigation for military officers, orienteering has become a globally popular sport. Naturalists will discuss the activity and then send participants on a ~2.5 mile course through the woods. Please bring water and wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes. This program will be cancelled in the event of inclement weather. Free.
