The John W. Brown is a fully operational, steaming maritime museum and a memorial to the shipyard workers who built, merchant mariners who sailed, and the U.S. Navy Armed Guard crews who defended the Liberty ships during World War II. 2500 Libertys survived the war, now only two ships survive from that great Liberty Fleet. Tour museum spaces, crew quarters, bridge, messrooms, troop berthing and much more. View the magnificent 140-ton triple-expansion steam engine, walk the decks, and stand on the bridge from that historic time. Suggested donation $10 from adults; children under 12 are free.
